Word to the Wise: Proclivity

"Proclivity" (proh-KLIV-ih-tee) - from the Latin for "sloping forward" - is a natural predisposition or inclination.
Example (as used by Michael Masterson in his article "How to Be on Top of Everything"): "I have found that my natural proclivity to please inclines me to take on more than I should."
